Operation: MICHAUNG CYCLONE – CHENNAI FLOOD RESCUE 2023

HIGHLIGHTS:

 

a. 20 day old baby and mother who recently underwent cesarean surgery were evacuated safely by boat using proper lifting and handling techniques and arranged road transport thereafter.

b. A 60 year old heart patient who had chest pain evacuated by boat again using proper first response techniques.

c. A 65 year old spinal injury patient evacuated and transported using proper techniques.

d. A 80 year old man suspected dead with weak pulse rescued and immediately transported by boat to nearest ambulance but unfortunately he didn’t make it.

e. 5 pregnant women

f. More than 15 senior citizens, 5 among them were very fragile women in their 70s. g. 10 infants out of whom 3 were less than 1 year old.
